The new VPN client installation is a 2 CLICK process and users don't have to be an administrator to install it!

VPN-Q 2006 Client console:
This is the simple and straight forward main interface view the user sees while security checks are running on their PC.

Users are able to select the Details tab so they can see more detailed information on the individual security checks as they are running.

  

VPN-Q Config Wizard:
The Configuration Wizard for ISA Server 2004/2006 simplifies the creation and management of all the ISA Server rules required to allow the VPN Quarantine infrastructure to function.

System Requirements
Minimum Server System Requirements:
  • Windows Server 2003 with Service Pack 1
  • .NET Framework 1.1 (SP1 recommended) or higher
  • ISA Server 2004 or 2006 Standard Edition (optional but recommended) or
  • ISA Server 2004 or 2006 Enterprise Edition (optional but recommended)

Minimum Client System Requirements:

  • Windows XP with Service Pack 2
  • Windows Vista (Works with Windows Vista™)
  • .NET Framework 1.1 (SP1 recommended) or higher

Languages:

  • The VPN-Q 2006 Client (Service Pack 3 and higher) supports multilingual configurations. Current supported languages include English, German and French.
  • The VPN-Q 2006 Server Administrator is compatible with multi-lingual versions of Windows Server 2003, however is only available in English. Winfrasoft have tested the Server Administrator on the English & German versions of Windows Server 2003 SP1, however VPN-Q 2006 is not limited to these languages. Non-English versions of ISA Server are not supported.

What is a quarantine network?
A quarantine network is sectioned off area of the LAN that has very limited access to resources, in particular internal resources. These quarantine areas are highly effective for keeping un-trusted machines away from your core assets, while still providing a minimum level of connectivity to allow business to function.

A VPN quarantine network is a virtual network that remotely connected machines are placed in. You may wish that certain PC's such as external B2B customers or consultants can connect to your network but with limited connectivity - regardless of their systems health status. In addition, your own internal users can also be placed into the VPN quarantine network when they initially connect until the heath state of their PC is proven. VPN-Q 2006 provides a simple and secure way to vouch for the health state of client PC's.
